Mountain View School is looking for a new teacher aide to be a part of the student support whaanau at our amazing school. You will be working with 5-11 year olds mostly but need to be comfortable with any primary-age student. You need to love being out and about with kids, perhaps run a game or two at lunch time, contribute to our many cultural and sports programmes and just generally be able to muck in. Oh! And a sense of humour is an absolute must!

We want this person to start as soon as possible - full-time (30-35 hours a week) term time only (not school holidays) - pay can be annualised if needed.

Our teacher aides are required to be:

Healthy, resilient and able to turn up - everyday!
Flexible, adaptable and hard working.
Consistent, patient and willing to learn.
Great with younger primary-aged students but flexible enough to work with any age.
Willing to work 1 on 1 or in small groups helping with reading, writing and maths.
Capable readers and writers and able to learn.
Willing to do the ‘extras’ (go on trips, take sports teams or manage them, help with community events etc)
Keen to buy into a school vision that wants kids to ‘Thrive with Confidence - kia puawai me te maia!’
