Position: Long Term Care Nurse Educator

Location: Brooklyn, NY

Pay Rate: $75/hr

Schedule: FULL TIME M-F - HOURS MARY VARY BASED ON NEEDS - EARLY MORNINGS/NIGHT SHIFT AVAILABILITY IS REQUIRED - MAY NEED TO WORK OCCASIONAL WEEKENDS.

Duties:
Performs the functions of an educator, facilitator, change agent, leader, consultant and researcher in area of expertise.
Participate in the development, implementation and evaluation of orientation programs.
Develops and implements staff development and continuing education programs.
Collaborate at all levels of nursing to provide professional development, act as a mentor, and provide clinical coaching.
Develop programs that are in compliance with facility
Provide orientation for new staff and support the unit staff with competency development, and evaluations.
Requirements:
Minimum five (5) years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse.
Minimum three (3) years of relevant nurse educator experience.
Atleast one (1) year of Long Term Care experience.
Demonstrates clinical expertise as an advanced level practitioner in the appropriate healthcare field and in adult education.
