Job Purpose:

The purpose of the “Service Technical Specialist – Bizerba” (STSB) role is to provide expert technical support and co-ordination of technical activities to the Service Department (and other departments when requested) at a National level focused on the Bizerba product portfolio. Based in Sydney, this role will primarily support the local NSW customers through installation, servicing and breakdown support. The STSB will also provide remote support and, in coordination with the NSW Service Manager and other stakeholders, travel to other locations to support all Bizerba customers.

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

Provide installation, breakdown and servicing support to NSW customers
Support Bizerba equipment with interstate travel required to support emergency breakdowns and installations
On request of State Managers, State Service Managers and Bizerba Business Unit Manager, visit customer sites to review customers production requirements and make recommendations on critical parts stocking and servicing requirements
Providing commissioning support for complex installations when requested by State Managers, State Service Managers and Bizerba Business Unit Manager
Liaise with Balingen to obtain technical information arranging for factory representatives to visit to resolve issues only with approval from Bizerba Business Unit Manager
Assist Spare Parts Department with recommendations about type and quantity of Bizerba parts to be kept in stock
Evaluate and follow through to completion all Bizerba quality issues in a timely manner
Provide remote technical support to customers and technicians
Provide technical input into the criteria for customer and employee training programs for Bizerba products and run training programs for courses where you have the product expertise
Provide technical input on retrofits and upgrades
Relationships and Authority:

Day-to-day reporting is to the NSW Service Manager
State based customer decisions to be approved by State Service Managers
Required Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

7-10 years experience with Bizerba products
Good understanding of processes and systems
Reliable with a strong work ethic
Well organised with strong time management skills
Ability to think laterally and possess methodical problem-solving attributes
Previous exposure and proficiency with an ERP system such as SAP and MS Outlook, Office etc. preferred
