Job Title: Service Line Lead, High Current Lab

Job Description

Lead the High Current Laboratory Testing service line, focusing on short circuit and heat run tests on electrical equipment, arc flash testing on personal protective equipment, failure investigations, and DC current tests on industrial and EV components. Drive business development, manage client relationships, and oversee efficient testing operations. Foster a safety-conscious environment, manage a portfolio of projects and assets, and deliver on annual sales, revenue, and profit budget commitments. Mentor team members and develop growth strategies, including lab expansions and capability growth within the High Current and DC testing industry.

Responsibilities
• Lead and motivate team members, fostering a growth strategy.
• Manage client relationships and develop new service offerings.
• Ensure safe operations and maintain high-quality services.
• Participate in technical conferences and present technical papers.
• Expand the organization's footprint in the High Current and DC testing industry.
• Deliver on annual sales, revenue, and profit budget commitments.
Essential Skills
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing testing-related projects.
• Electrical Engineering degree.
• Demonstrated project management and leadership skills in a testing environment.
• Technical knowledge of High Current-, DC testing, and arc flash testing requirements.
• Understanding of the client base and key competitors worldwide.
Additional Skills Qualifications
• Master's Degree or PhD, preferably in Power Systems.
• Business development experience and business acumen.
• Experience with technical sales and building business plans.
• Leadership experience with 15-20 Engineers and Technologists reporting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with process improvement and creating safety programs.
• Strong understanding of Electrical Power Systems, including high voltage transmission.
Work Environment

Work from the renowned Testing Lab, part of a global network of advanced testing facilities. Engage in a fast-paced environment directly connected to a substation. Expect to work beyond 40 hours per week, based on role demands. This position is non-unionized with no overtime available. Some travel to conferences, trade shows, and industry meetings is required. Collaborate with a team of highly skilled professionals and have access to cutting-edge technology and testing methods.
Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $67.00 - $82.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Toronto,ON.
