About the Role
Plan and deliver differentiated lessons for pupils with a range of special educational needs (ASD, SEMH, MLD, PMLD)
Support pupils in Key Stages 1–4 with bespoke, sensory-aware, and communication-focused teaching strategies
Collaborate with SENCOs, therapists, and support staff to implement and monitor EHCP targets
Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes independence and confidence
Track pupil progress, provide constructive feedback, and report on educational outcomes
Ideal Candidate Profile
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (essential)
Proven experience teaching in an SEN or specialist setting
Knowledge of alternative communication methods (e.g., Makaton, PECS) and sensory integration strategies
Strong behaviour-management skills and a calm, resilient approach
Excellent teamwork, communication, and record-keeping abilities
