Learning Support Assistant in Lambeth, South London

Career Teachers are looking for an experienced and dedicated Learning Support Assistant/SEN Teaching Assistant to join an outstanding primary school in Peckham, South London. This school prides itself on helping children to develop their confidence, excel in their achievements, and supporting a learning community. This full-time role is set to commence ASAP. We are specifically looking for candidates with experience working with SEND students, including ASD, ADHD, behavioural issues, and more.

Role Overview

As a Learning Support Assistant/SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support children in achieving their full potential. This includes working individually or in small groups with students who have additional learning needs such as ASD, ADHD, and various learning difficulties.

Qualifications And Experience

We are seeking candidates with prior experience in childcare or educational settings, such as babysitting, tutoring, coaching, summer camps, or previous teaching assistant roles. For this specific role, it is essential to have demonstrable experience working with SEND children. Candidates must have:
• A valid and up-to-date Enhanced DBS on the Update Service,
• Legal Right to Work in the UK,
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a strong passion for education.
