POSITION SUMMARY:
The Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth through proactive sales strategies, client relationship management, and securing new business in corporate, group, and event markets. This role requires a strategic and results-driven approach to identifying opportunities, negotiating contracts, and maximizing hotel occupancy and revenue. Strong communication skills, industry knowledge, and a proven track record in hotel sales are essential for success in this position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sales Business Development:

· Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities in corporate, group, and social markets.

· Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to maximize repeat business.

· Conduct outside sales calls, site visits, and presentations to promote the hotel’s offerings.

· Respond promptly to inquiries, prepare proposals, and negotiate contracts to secure bookings.

Revenue Strategy:

· Collaborate with the Sales Team and Revenue Management to develop and execute sales strategies.

· Meet and exceed monthly and annual sales targets and revenue goals.

· Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to refine sales approaches.

Client Event Coordination:

· Work closely with the banquet and events team to ensure seamless execution of group bookings.

· Assist in the coordination of events, meetings, and conferences as needed.

· Provide outstanding customer service to enhance guest satisfaction and brand loyalty.

· Ensuring any client specifications and expectations are met and any complaints/issues are identified and resolved.

· Maintaining open communication with all departments to improve overall hotel operations.

Administrative Reporting:

· Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and contract details in CRM software.

· Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports for management review.

· Represent the hotel at networking events, tradeshows, and industry functions.

· Establishing standard operating procedures for sales processes.

KEY COMPETENCIES AND QUALIFICATION:

· Proven ability to generate and close new business opportunities.

· Strong prospecting and lead-generation skills.

· Expertise in contract negotiation and revenue optimization.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.

· Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple accounts.

· Effective prioritization and time management skills.

· Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

· Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a hotel sales role.

· Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.

· Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.

· Proficiency in hotel sales systems such as Delphi, Opera, or similar CRM and PMS platforms is an asset.

· Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams.
