Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of sales techniques, and the ability to provide exceptional customer service. This role involves engaging with customers, demonstrating products, and assisting in creating a welcoming shopping environment. Multilingual abilities and experience in technology or retail sales are highly valued. The Sales Assistant plays a vital role in driving sales growth and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective merchandising, upselling, and product knowledge.
Duties
Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs
Conduct product demonstrations and explain features to enhance customer understanding
Assist customers with product selection, upselling relevant items to increase sales
Operate POS systems for transactions including cash handling and processing payments
Maintain organized merchandise displays and ensure the store is tidy and inviting
Manage inventory levels and assist with stock replenishment as needed
Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries promptly and professionally
Use effective phone etiquette when communicating with customers over the phone
Support merchandising efforts to promote new products and seasonal items
Handle cashiering duties accurately, including basic math calculations for transactions
Skills
Multilingual or bilingual abilities to serve diverse customer bases effectively
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Experience in technology sales or retail sales preferred
Ability to perform product demos confidently and clearly explain features
Proficiency with POS systems, cash handling, and basic math skills
Excellent organizational skills for managing merchandise and inventory
Customer service-oriented mindset with a friendly demeanor
Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods
Knowledge of merchandising principles to create appealing displays
Ability to upsell products tactfully to maximize sales opportunities
Strong phone etiquette for professional remote communication
