Responsibilities
The Registered Nurse ( RN )Supervisor Assists the Director of Nursing; plans, develops, organizes andcoordinates day-to-day functions of the nursing department
Registered Nurse ( RN )Supervisor Major Duties and Critical Tasks:
Plans, develops, organizes, implements,and directs nursing services for residents on the floor assigned
Ensures compliance with currentapplicable federal, state and local regulations and facility policies andprocedures
Reviews complaints and grievances made orfiled by staff
Makes appropriatereports to the Director of Nursing as required or as necessary
Ensures an adequate stock of medications,medical supplies, equipment, etc., is always maintained on the unit toadequately meet the needs of the resident and notifies appropriate personnel ofneeds
Assists in the development of writtenpreliminary and comprehensive assessments of the nursing needs of eachresident
Makes nursing/aide assignments asindicated
Encourages staff to attend andparticipate in outside training programs and schedules times as appropriate
