We are more than a securities exchange!
The ASX team brings together talented people from a diverse range of disciplines.

We run critical market infrastructure, with 1 in 3 people employed within technology. Yet we have a unique complexity of roles across a range of disciplines such as operations, program delivery, financial products, investor engagement, risk and compliance.

We’re proud of the diversity of our organisation and the culture of inclusion that all our people help to build every day. Our employee-led groups are known for celebrating cultural and religious events, championing LGBTIQ+ inclusion (recently achieving AWEI Bronze), inspiring giving and volunteering, promoting gender equality, and wellbeing. We are an Employer of Choice for Gender Equality (WGEA) and a member of the Champions of Change Coalition for the advancement of gender equality in Australia.

About the team:

The Technology Resilience Solution Architect is responsible for improving SP ecosystems resilience posture. This role ensures that critical systems are managed and architected for high availability, disaster recovery, and compliance with license obligations, regulatory standards and relevant best practices.

The ASX Securities and Payments (SP) Resilience Team is committed to strengthening the business, operational, and technological resilience across all SP business units, with a strategic focus on Austraclear and CHESS. Our mission is to proactively uplift resilience capabilities, enable rapid recovery from disruptions, and ensure the continuity of critical business services in alignment with license obligations, regulatory expectations and enterprise standards.

What you will be doing:

Resilience Posture: Strengthen SP’s technology resilience posture by contributing to the development and execution of the resilience strategy, roadmap, governance structures, and operating model.

Obligations Standards: Ensure technology resilience initiatives are aligned with ASX license obligations, regulatory standards (e.g., CPS 230, ISO 22301), and internal risk and compliance frameworks, with clear traceability and audit readiness.

Resilience by Design: Architect and implement resilient technology solutions for critical ASX ecosystems (CHESS and Austraclear), embedding availability, redundancy, and recovery capabilities into system design and delivery lifecycles.

Continuity Testing: Support and uplift business continuity, disaster recovery, fire drills, and both internal and external market testing, ensuring readiness across systems, teams, and third-party dependencies.

Recovery Capabilities: Collaborate with business and technical teams to map critical dependencies and failure scenarios; lead solutioning for failover, rollback, alerting, monitoring, and restart capabilities.

Resilience Delivery: Drive the delivery of resilience initiatives into business unit roadmaps and technology initiatives. Support incident reviews and capability uplift.

What you will bring:

Must have

Proven experience in solution architecture with a focus on resilience, availability, capacity and performance.

Strong understanding of cloud, cyber, infrastructure, and application architecture.

Proven ability to uplift service management practices by aligning with enterprise standards

Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as CPS 230 and ISO 22301 and best practices

Experience with resilience testing methodologies and tools.

Knowledge of vendor resilience management and contract terms.

Ability to interpret resilience metrics and build governance dashboards.

Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Nice to have

Experience in financial services or market infrastructure environments.

Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and secure system design.

Change management experience in resilience program adoption.

We make hiring decisions based on your skills, capabilities and experience, and how you’ll help us to live our values. We encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet all the criteria of this role. If you need any adjustments during the application or interview process to help you present your best self, please let us know.

At ASX Group, our diverse workforce is essential to build and maintain a fair and dynamic marketplace. We support flexible working and offer hybrid working options. Even if our roles are advertised as full-time, we encourage you to apply if you are interested in part-time or other flexible working arrangements.

We will arrange for successful candidates to have background checks, including reference and police checks completed as part of the on-boarding process.
