Repairs and tests mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies. Works from drawings, sketches, wiring diagrams and written or oral instructions to understand and perform repair and / or test activity. Ensures work meets established technical, product and quality requirements.
Provides Repair Technician support and product repair for assigned mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies.
Identifies, isolates and corrects malfunctions on assigned products through the practical application of acquired technologies and skills.
Disassembles, cleans and reassembles assigned products in conjunction with refurbishment activities.
Generates and maintains required test reports, logs, documentation and test equipment.
Reports recurring quality problems to appropriate individuals or groups.
Enhances working knowledge of the total product line and associated test diagnostics and procedures.
Uses precision instruments such as micrometers, calipers and bore gauges to measure component parts and assist with repair, refurbishment and related activity.
Required Qualifications
Education or equivalent work experience required.
Minimum of 2-4 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in Repair Technician.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with mechanical/electro-mechanical assembly.
High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
Salary Range: $25-$29/hr. Actual compensation for this role will depend on several factors including your qualifications, skills, competencies, geographic location, internal equity, and relevant experience.
