Registered Nurse (RN) – Electrophysiology Lab

Pay breakdown: Stipend $1,035 + $40hr

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide compassionate care to patients, perform nursing duties, and contribute to a positive environment.

About the Role

Join our dynamic Cardiac Interventional Unit as a Registered Nurse in the Electrophysiology (EP) Lab. You’ll provide safe, high-quality, relationship-centered care to patients undergoing advanced cardiac procedures. Key Responsibilities

Patient Care

Deliver evidence-based care using the nursing process and relationship-centered care principles.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute care plans.
Educate patients and families about procedures, recovery, and health promotion.
Prioritize patient care, including teaching, rounding, and discharge planning.
Patient Experience

Build therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients, families, and team members.
Conduct purposeful hourly rounding and ensure patient needs are met.
Address patient concerns promptly and escalate as needed.
Quality Safety

Practice safe, efficient, patient-centered care.
Identify and escalate safety issues or opportunities for improvement.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and nursing research.
Document care accurately using EPIC (highly preferred).
Operations Professional Development

Perform charge nurse duties as assigned.
Ensure optimal use of supplies and resources.
Support the clinical team and contribute to a positive work environment.
Engage in ongoing professional development and shared decision-making.
Qualifications

Required:

NYS RN License (active and in good standing)
BLS and ACLS certifications
Minimum 2 years RN experience, including telemetry and echo experience
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Associate degree considered only with relevant experience and/or active enrollment in BSN program
Preferred:

Prior experience in cardiac nursing or critical care
Additional certifications such as CCRN or CVN
EPIC experience
1 year of travel nursing experience (for travel positions only)
