Sinai Health is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to support our Family Medicine Department at our Vaughan – Sherman Health Wellness Centre.
The Registered Nurse works collaboratively with the staff and learners in the management of ambulatory medical patients within the Sherman Wellness Centre. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the nursing care of assigned patients, with emphasis on assessment, education, prevention, maintenance and restoration of health utilizing the nursing process in the delivery of quality patient care. The Registered Nurse also plays an academic role in collaborating in interprofessional education and participating in quality improvement and research activities of the centre.

Mandatory
Current certificate of registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN). Applicants in their final year or near completion will be considered
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
3-5 years' of experience providing comprehensive patient-centred care to patients of all ages
Demonstrated achievement of good working relationships with colleagues, professional staff, residents and the interprofessional team
Previous experience with an electronic medical record (EMR) program
Preferred
Experience in a primary care or ambulatory setting an asset
Skills and Knowledge
Demonstrated excellent critical thinking, decision making and problem solving skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Commitment to patient and family centred care
Demonstrated ability to function effectively as a team member both intra and inter/extra- departmentally
Ability to establish/maintain excellent working relationships with the Clinical Staff
Demonstrated satisfactory work performance and attendance history
