We are currently seeking an experienced Real Estate Lawyer to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated lawyer looking to work with an established client base, experienced support staff, and a collaborative team of lawyers in a firm that values professionalism and integrity. We offer a competitive compensation package commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

Manage residential and commercial real estate transactions from start to finish.
Draft and review Agreements of Purchase and Sale, mortgage and financing documents, easements, transfers, and other real estate documentation.
Conduct title reviews and resolve title-related issues.
Advise clients on purchases, sales, refinancing, private lending transactions, and commercial real estate matters.
Review due diligence materials, including title searches, surveys, municipal searches, and planning documents.
Communicate with clients, lenders, real estate agents, municipalities, and opposing counsel to ensure transactions close efficiently.
Provide practical legal advice while identifying and resolving issues that arise throughout a transaction.
Work closely with experienced law clerks and administrative staff to provide exceptional client service.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

Membership in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
At least 3 years of experience practicing real estate law.
Experience managing residential and commercial real estate files independently.
Excellent drafting, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
Exceptional communication and client service skills.
The ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
Experience with Teraview, Unity, Conveyancer or similar real estate software is required.
Experience with PCLaw is considered an asset.
