We are seeking a dedicated and professional Qualified Dental Nurse/Receptionist to join our friendly dental practice. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering excellent patient care while efficiently managing reception duties. Duties
Assisting dentists during clinical procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
Preparing treatment rooms and sterilising equipment in accordance with health and safety standards
Managing patient records accurately and maintaining confidentiality at all times
Greeting patients warmly, scheduling appointments, and managing the practice diary
Handling patient enquiries via phone, email, or in person with professionalism and courtesy
Processing payments and updating patient information using IT systems
Providing advice on post-treatment care and answering patient questions effectively
Ensuring the reception area remains tidy, welcoming, and organised at all times
Supporting the team with administrative tasks such as filing, correspondence, and stock management
Skills
Proven experience as a Dental Nurse or Receptionist within a dental practice or healthcare environment
Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach towards patients of all ages
Strong organisational skills to manage appointments, records, and administrative tasks efficiently
Good IT skills, including familiarity with dental practice management software and MS Office programmes
Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal, to liaise confidently with patients and team members
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Outstanding organisational skills to prioritise tasks and ensure smooth daily operations
Ability to work as part of a team whilst also demonstrating independence when required
