We have an opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join our team and lead the successful delivery of a complex civils infrastructure project.
About the Opportunity
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, planning, commercial performance, and successful delivery of this project.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing project programmes, resources, budgets, and delivery teams within a live environment
Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and key stakeholders
Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to quality expectations
Driving commercial performance, forecasting, cost control, and contract administration
Leading planning and construction methodologies to optimise project outcomes
Managing project risks, opportunities, and compliance requirements
Overseeing procurement and subcontractor management activities
Championing HEB's commitment to health, safety, environmental, and quality standards
Developing high-performing teams and fostering a collaborative project culture
Providing regular project reporting to senior leadership and clients
About You
We're interested in hearing from people with:
Proven experience as a Project Manager delivering civil infrastructure projects
Strong Three Waters experience across water, wastewater, and stormwater projects
Demonstrated success managing project budgets, programmes, and multidisciplinary teams
Sound knowledge of NZS contracts and commercial project management principles
Excellent stakeholder management and client relationship skills
Strong leadership capability with the ability to motivate and develop project teams
A proactive, solutions-focused approach and proven problem-solving abilities
Excellent planning, organisational, and communication skills
Relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
A strong commitment to safety, quality, and environmental excellence
