Working in our open spaces teams we are looking for a new officer to help keep our parks and green spaces presented at their best. Our work is ultimately about working together to care for our region, to match the standards of our community meeting their needs and expectations.

The areas of interest are the region’s parks and open spaces, sports parks and recreational facilities, playgrounds, reserves, cemeteries, public conveniences, halls and pavilions, street trees and garden plots, tracks and trails, swimming pools, memorials and community amenities

Our ideal candidate will be respectful and honest with a great ability to work in a team. You will be enthusiastic and passionate for outdoor spaces. Have an eye for detail and a good ability to develop professional relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.


Ideally you will also have:

A Horticulture or Parks qualification.
Experience and good working knowledge of managing open spaces.
Experience in asset management and budget systems
Excellent organisation & initiative abilities.
Excellent contract and project management skills and experience.
If you are enthusiastic and well organised, with strategic decision-making skills and a strong ability to relate effectively with people, then this may be the role for you.
