Job Description
Product Manager -
Job Role:
1. Act as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for Advisory view on all products (internal and external) across equities, fixed income and alternates (including private markets)
2. Create and maintain a comprehensive repository of products, along with Kotak Advisory's view on them
3. Work closely with Advisory team leads to formulate views on products and new idea generation
4. Keep constantly engaging with Kotak product team for their views on specific managers and new ideas
5. Be able to independently conduct diligence on products/ideas that may be showcased by Advisory clients by competition
6. Track monthly performance of key products with Advisory AUA and flag off product concerns so that correction action is taken in a timely manner
7. Lead fund manager interactions, data analysis, market intelligence etc. that will help build a stronger product understanding for Advisory team
8. End to end ownership of monthly Advisory Investment Committee - shortlisting ideas, conducting diligence, preparing reports, presenting to IC and launching products
+. Drive strategically important projects for Advisory business
Job Requirements:
1. High understanding of asset classes and sub-asset classes within equities, fixed income and alternates
2. Understanding of investment products and asset allocation methodologies
3. Sound Understanding of financial markets and keenness to stay updated
4. Being up to date with current market trends, fund performances, investment products and competition product offerings
5. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Should be able to articulate investment strategy to clients and give supporting rationale
6. Comfortable working on Excel and PowerPoint
Ideal work experience:
1. Candidates with 5-8 years of experience as an Advisor or Product Manager in Wealth Management/Asset Management space.
2. Also open to look at candidates coming with specific asset class domain expertise equity/debt/alternates
