However, you must also:
Be a qualified teacher or have experience tutoring primary-aged children
Be qualified up to degree level or be an undergraduate with tutoring experience
Have excellent subject knowledge for KS1 and KS2 maths and English
Have a detailed understanding of the National Curriculum requirements for KS1 and KS2 maths and English
Have excellent communication skills
Be flexible, organised, reliable and punctual
Care about helping students improve and achieve academically
Enjoy working with children
Be willing to undertake additional training relevant to the role
Responsibilities you will have include:
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans for KS1 and KS2 students in subjects such as Maths and English.
Provide one-on-one and/or small group tutoring to enhance students' understanding and academic performance.
Foster a supportive learning environment that accommodates children with diverse needs, including those requiring special education.
Utilise strong communication skills to interact effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
