Minerva Public School is seeking a disciplined, energetic, and responsible Physical Education Teacher cum Hostel Warden to oversee students’ physical development, discipline, daily routine, and hostel life within the residential campus environment.
The ideal candidate should be passionate about sports, student development, and residential school culture, while also being capable of maintaining structure, safety, and discipline in the hostel with a hands-on approach.
Key ResponsibilitiesPhysical Education & Sports
Conduct daily Physical Education classes for students across age groups.
Plan and supervise fitness sessions, drills, games, and sports activities.
Develop discipline, teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy habits among students.
Assist in organizing inter-house competitions, tournaments, sports days, and fitness assessments.
Maintain sports equipment and ensure proper use of facilities.
Identify and nurture talented student-athletes.
Hostel Warden Duties
Supervise hostel students and maintain discipline, cleanliness, and safety standards.
Ensure students follow daily schedules including wake-up times, study hours, meals, lights out, and attendance.
Monitor student behaviour, wellbeing, hygiene, and emotional adjustment to hostel life.
Coordinate with academic staff, management, mess staff, and parents when required.
Handle emergencies, student health concerns, and disciplinary matters responsibly.
Maintain hostel records, attendance, incident reports, and inventory.
Foster a positive, structured, and caring residential environment.
General Responsibilities
Act as a mentor and role model for students.
Ensure campus rules and values are followed at all times.
Support school events, educational trips, and extracurricular activities.
Stay actively involved in day-to-day residential campus operations.
Candidate Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed/M.P.Ed preferred).
Prior experience in a residential school, sports academy, hostel, or boarding environment preferred.
Strong leadership, discipline management, and communication skills.
Physically active and capable of supervising outdoor activities.
Comfortable living and working within a residential campus setup.
Must be responsible, approachable, and student-focused.
Ability to handle pressure, emergencies, and long working hours when required.

Preference may be given to candidates with sports coaching background
Experience working with teenagers and young students is highly desirable
