Patient Care Director - RN - Perioperative Services - Days

Step into the role of Patient Care Director at NewYork-Presbyterian/David H. Koch Center, where we have set a new bar in personalized outpatient care - from diagnosis to treatment - by integrating new technologies and innovative clinical approaches to provide the highest quality care and enhance the patient experience. This 750,000-square foot, multi-specialty treatment center has been designed to accommodate the latest technologies and features many innovations in the delivery of care to meet patients’ expectations in new ways.

As a Patient Care Director, you’ll oversee the daily clinical operations of our Pre-op, Intra-op, Post-op, and Endoscopy teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality and compassionate patient care to an increasingly diverse patient population. Seize this opportunity to become a transformational leader via shared governance. Engage, mentor, supervise and evaluate the team to reach their full potential and inspire continued professional growth. Develop and manage budgets, resource allocation and scheduling. Regularly assess unit operations and identify process improvements to enhance the patient experience. Excel as a change agent, advancing initiatives focused on enhancing quality and performance throughout the unit.

This is a full time position working 4 days/week at NewYork-Presbyterian/David H. Koch Center. The hours are 7:00am-6:00pm for the three days/week and 7:00am-3:30pm for one day/week.

Required Criteria

Master's Degree in Nursing or related field if already holds a BSN degree. If currently pursuing a Master’s Degree, must obtain within 1 year of hire. Either bachelors or graduate degree must be in nursing

Current NYS RN licensure (or willingness to obtain NYS licensure)

3 years clinical experience

Exceptional emotional intelligence, communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills are essential to success

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
