We are looking for a managing associate/associate partner to lead our trade mark prosecution team. You will be responsible for handling the entire life cycle of trademark prosecution, attending hearings, and managing a team of associates and paralegals. You will also be involved in business development, client relationship management, and quality control.

Requirements
• * A minimum of 15 years of experience in an IP firm, with a focus on trademark prosecution.
• * A law degree from a recognized university and a license to practice in India.
• * Expertise in trademark law, practice, and procedure, including filing, examination, opposition, rectification, renewal, and infringement.
• * Experience in attending hearings before the Trade Marks Registry.
• * Experience in managing a team of associates and paralegals, including assigning work, reviewing output, providing feedback, and conducting appraisals.
• * Excellent communication, drafting, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• * Ability to work independently and collaboratively, under pressure and with tight deadlines.
• * Ability to handle multiple clients and projects, and maintain high standards of quality and professionalism
• Responsibilities
• * Lead the trade mark prosecution team and ensure the timely and effective delivery of services to clients.
• * Handle the entire life cycle of trademark prosecution, from conducting searches, filing applications, responding to objections, attending hearings, to obtaining registrations.
• * Represent clients in opposition, rectification, and infringement matters before the Trade Marks Registry.
• * Advise clients on trademark strategy, portfolio management, enforcement, and compliance.
• * Manage the team of associates and paralegals, and provide them with guidance, mentoring, and training.
• * Monitor the performance and productivity of the team, and ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices.
• * Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, and identify new business opportunities.
• * Coordinate with other teams and departments within the firm, and liaise with external stakeholders such as agents, attorneys, and officials.
