We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our team at our Yonge & Sheppard office on a part-time basis.
This opportunity is ideal for a seasoned HR professional who enjoys staying engaged in the profession but is looking for a reduced schedule rather than the demands of a full-time role. Whether you're looking to slow down, have recently retired from full-time HR, or simply want meaningful work with greater work-life balance, we'd love to hear from you.
In this hands-on role, your primary focus will be recruitment, HR administration, and Health & Safety. You'll also support onboarding and offboarding, performance management, employee documentation, and a variety of day-to-day HR initiatives that keep our business running smoothly.
We're looking for someone who brings practical HR experience, enjoys rolling up their sleeves, and takes pride in providing reliable, high-quality support to both employees and managers. This position offers a consistent part-time schedule of Tuesday through Thursday, with 6-8 hour shifts.

Compensation: $24-27/hour

What you will be doing! Your day to day will involve:
• Respond to internal and external HR related inquiries or requests and provide assistance;
• Maintain employee records;
• Full cycle recruitment including creating and posting job ads, screening, interviewing, and drafting employment agreements;
• Benefit Enrollment and provide general program information
• Payroll Setup; Address Updates;
• Provide guidance to new and current team members;
• Complete onboarding and update records with new hires;
• Take part in developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating workplace health and safety action plans and policies;
• Assist with Health and Safety Initiatives ensuring keeping up to date with changing industry standards
• Perform administrative tasks, including filing, payroll change forms, payroll inquiries and benefits administration, and vacation tracking
• Coordinate performance review process for front line employees, submit paperwork to payroll and update the Employees Performance Matrix
• Support other functions as assigned.
• Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned
What we are looking for…
• 5 - 7 years experience in a similar role or related experience;
• Experience working within an HR environment and/or a demonstrated understanding confidentiality and discretion in dealing with HR matters
• Working towards CHRP;
• Experience with Ceridian/ Dayforce Payroll an asset;
• Highly organized in prioritizing work, multi-tasking, attention to detail, and consistently meeting deadlines;
• High proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications and/or Google Suite
• Must be a self-starter with the ability to work in a collaborative team-based environment
