Job Overview

We are hiring an OT Technician to join our team at an eye hospital in Telangana, Hyderabad. As an OT Technician, you will be responsible for assisting in surgical operations, maintaining OT equipment, and ensuring a sterile environment. This is a full-time position with a required experience of 1 to 3 years in a similar role.

Qualifications and Skills
• Junior: 1 to 3 years of experience as an OT Technician or in a similar role
• Diploma in Operation Theatre Technology or a related field
• Sound knowledge of surgical instruments and equipment
• Familiarity with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Basic computer skills

Roles and Responsibilities
• Assist surgeons and nurses during surgeries by providing the necessary instruments and supplies
• Prepare the operating room by setting up surgical instruments and equipment
• Ensure the operating room is clean, sterile, and free from any potential hazards
• Maintain and manage OT equipment, including sterilization and proper storage
• Monitor and document patient vital signs during surgery
• Assist in positioning and transferring patients on and off the operating table
• Handle and dispose of surgical specimens and waste materials according to established protocols
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a smooth workflow and optimal patient care

Job Description:

MESU:

The Mobile Eye Surgical Unit (MESU) is jointly developed by Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras and Eye hospital Chennai to deliver eye care in the villages.

The Mobile Eye Surgical Unit, consists of two custom-made buses, one vehicle is a complete operating theatre on wheels, while the other includes changing rooms, wash area, etc. The MESU is a one of a kind in Asia and also the only one to be approved for doorstep cataract surgeries by the Government of India.

We are looking for candidates for Mobile Surgical Eye Surgical Unit (MESU) to be inaugurated at Telangana.

Job Role: Ensure sterile supply during surgery, maintain drugs stock required during surgeries

Please Note:
• Initial 3 months of training after selection will be provided in Chennai
• During training period food accommodation will be provided
• Candidates should be willing to travel for conducting camps for 15 days.
