**Role Summary**
As a Biomedical Engineer Technician at Chicago Biomedical Services Company, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective operation of biomedical equipment. You will work closely with our team to evaluate, diagnose, and repair complex equipment issues, as well as perform planned maintenance and safety inspections.
**Key Responsibilities**
Your key responsibilities will include:
Evaluating complex biomedical equipment issues and implementing appropriate repairs;
Performing planned maintenance and safety inspections to ensure the safe and effective operation of equipment;
Developing and maintaining good customer relations and communicating technical issues effectively;
Working effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines;
Collaborating with our team to share knowledge and best practices.
**Qualifications and Requirements**
To be successful in this role, you will need:
A minimum of 2 years' experience in servicing medical equipment; OR equivalent military education and experience;
An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field;
Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical issues to customers in an easy-to-understand manner;
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs. unassisted and frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit, and stand for long periods of time;
Willingness to be available 'after hours' or work a rotating on-call schedule, including weekends, for critical issues and coverage.
