Key Responsibilities:
Lesson Planning Delivery: Plan and deliver high-quality Maths lessons for students across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4) in line with the national curriculum.
Student Engagement: Develop engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to a wide range of abilities, ensuring all students can make progress and achieve their potential.
Assessment Feedback: Assess students’ work regularly, provide constructive feedback, and set targets to drive improvement. Monitor progress and address any learning gaps.
Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and disciplined classroom environment, using effective strategies to encourage student participation and manage behavior.
Collaboration: Work closely with the Maths department and other staff to share best practices, attend department meetings, and contribute to school-wide initiatives and extracurricular activities.
Parental Communication: Maintain open lines of communication with parents and guardians, providing updates on student progress and discussing any concerns as needed.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (e.g., PGCE, SCITT, etc.).
Strong Knowledge of Maths at GCSE level (experience teaching A-Level is a bonus but not essential).
Experience in a Secondary School Setting is preferred, though newly qualified teachers (NQTs) are also welcome to apply.
Excellent Classroom Management Skills and the ability to engage students of varying abilities.
Passion for Teaching: A commitment to inspiring students and fostering a love for learning.
Strong Communication Skills: Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly with students, staff, and parents.
DBS Clearance: A current Enhanced DBS check or willingness to undergo one.
Must have a right to work in the UK!
