Maths Teacher

Experience: Minimum 2-4 years

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Design and implement lesson plans for 6th to 8th-grade mathematics courses that align with the curriculum standards and meet the needs of the students.
- Develop and use appropriate instructional materials, including textbooks, workbooks, and supplementary materials, to enhance the learning experience of students.
- Utilize various teaching methodologies and strategies, such as lectures, discussions, group activities, and technology-based resources to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
- Assess student performance regularly using a variety of methods, including formative and summative assessments, quizzes, exams, projects, and homework assignments.
- Encourage student participation, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills in the classroom.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, academic progress, and grades, and communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding their child's academic performance.
- Collaborate with other teachers, administrators, and staff to develop and implement school-wide programs, policies, and procedures.
- Attend and participate in professional development activities, such as workshops, conferences, and training sessions, to stay current with educational best practices and trends.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, tolerance, and diversity among students.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics or related field.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of teaching experience in mathematics for 6th to 8th grade levels.
- Strong knowledge of mathematics concepts, principles, and theories.
- Experience using technology tools and resources to enhance teaching and learning.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with others and adapt to changing educational environments.
- Valid teaching certification or licensure in mathematics.
