We are seeking skilled Maintenance Fitters to join our team. This crucial role involves maintaining, repairing, and optimising our production equipment and machinery to ensure smooth operations. You will play a key part in preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability.

About the Role

As a Maintenance Fitter, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing mechanical plant and equipment to ensure operational efficiency. Your expertise in identifying and resolving mechanical issues will be essential in minimising downtime and improving overall production performance.

Main Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough inspections of mechanical systems, identifying signs of wear, damage, or inefficiency.
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance to ensure equipment remains in optimal working condition.
Diagnose faults in machinery and carry out prompt and effective repairs to minimise downtime.
Replace defective or worn mechanical components to restore full functionality.
Modify and upgrade mechanical systems as needed to improve efficiency and performance.
Operate machining tools, including lathes and milling machines, to fabricate replacement parts when necessary.
Perform welding and metal fabrication tasks to repair and reinforce machinery components.
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems, ensuring proper operation.
Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to ensure smooth operational workflow.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, reporting any recurring issues or major concerns. Read more
