As the successful candidate for this position, you will cover the Long Term Care department in the Two Hills Health Centre and model Patient and Family Centered Care. Situated 135 km east of Edmonton, Two Hills is an urban center serving an agricultural region. The town has a population of 1,37+ while the county has approximately 4,500 people. Residents have easy access to the downtown and commercial areas as well as several parks and playgrounds. The town has a grocery store, several restaurants, gas stations, two banks, various businesses, churches, two schools with Kindergarten to grade 12, an arena, curling rink, gym and a golf course. Within a half-hour drive are three beautiful lakes ideal for camping and fishing. As members of the nursing team, Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) are responsible and accountable for the safe quality care of clients. LPNs assess, coordinate and participate in total nursing care for patients and supervise in accordance with CLPNA nursing practice standards as well as provide leadership, direction and encouragement to staff.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:
In addition, the incumbent will be expected to demonstrate proficiency in the following areas: Actively integrates Patient and Family Centered Care principles into practice. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to work collaboratively with members of the multidisciplinary team. Demonstrated critical thinking, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills. Excellent time management and prioritization skills. Competence in relevant technical nursing skills and a willingness to learn new skills as required. Demonstrated ongoing responsibility for maintaining own continuing professional and practice competencies through professional development activities. Ability to work shift schedules and meet the physical demands of the job.
Preferred Qualifications:
