The Legal team plays an important role in providing comprehensive legal advice to senior management both in Australia and regionally. The team also advises on, and is actively involved in, all business and operational strategies and initiatives, from legislative and regulatory matters to the setting of policies, standards and procedures for guarding against and reporting on legal risk and reputational management issues.

We are recruiting for a unique opportunity as Legal Counsel – Regulatory. In this role, you will provide practical, impactful legal advice on a wide range of legal matters relating to all our lines of business and functions. You will also be involved in legal risk management, while also supporting other bank wide initiatives, projects and programs.

This is an opportunity to develop a wide-ranging practice across the entire bank in Australia, with an additional focus on the more heavily regulated areas such our retail bank. This role is perfect for someone who is able to prioritise a varied workload across a diverse mix of matters in the regulatory space, interested in the opportunity to get involved in responding to government and regulators, employment law, some litigation and also provide detailed strategic advice on major projects and regulatory developments.
