Job Description:

As a Lab Technician at Apollo Diagnostics in Mumbai, you will play a crucial role in conducting various laboratory tests to support medical professionals in diagnosing and treating patients. Working under the supervision of experienced lab personnel, you will ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results while adhering to strict quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities:
• Perform a variety of routine laboratory tests including blood tests, urine analysis, and other diagnostic procedures, following established protocols and procedures.
• Collect and prepare samples for testing, ensuring proper labeling, handling, and storage to maintain sample integrity.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments, performing routine maintenance and calibration procedures as necessary to ensure accurate and reliable results.
• Record and maintain detailed documentation of test results, including entering data into laboratory information systems and preparing reports for review by medical staff.
• Adhere to strict safety protocols and practices, including proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials and adherence to infection control procedures.
• Assist in inventory management, including monitoring supplies, reagents, and consumables, and notifying appropriate personnel when supplies need to be replenished.
• Collaborate with medical staff and other laboratory personnel to ensure timely and accurate reporting of test results, and to provide support as needed for patient care activities.
• Participate in training programs and continuing education opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in laboratory procedures and techniques.

Requirements:
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field from a recognized institution.
• 0-2 years of experience working in a laboratory setting, preferably in a clinical or diagnostic laboratory.
• Solid understanding of laboratory equipment operation and maintenance, as well as proficiency in basic laboratory techniques and procedures.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills, with the ability to follow protocols and procedures precisely.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
