Position Summary The Account Director is responsible for leading strategic client relationships, driving business growth, ensuring successful project delivery, and overseeing account profitability. This role serves as the primary point of contact for key clients, aligning internal teams with client objectives while identifying opportunities for expansion and long-term partnership development.

Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain robust relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Act as the senior escalation point for client concerns and service-related issues.
- Conduct regular business reviews and strategic planning meetings with clients.
- Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
Business Development & Growth
- Identify opportunities for account expansion and cross-selling services.
- Lead contract renewals, commercial negotiations, and pricing discussions.
- Develop annual account growth strategies and revenue plans.
- Drive new business opportunities within existing client portfolios.
Strategic Account Management
- Understand clients' business objectives and align service offerings accordingly.
- Provide strategic recommendations to improve client outcomes and operational efficiency.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities.
Project & Operational Oversight
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to agreed quality standards.
- Coordinate with internal teams including Operations, Design, Production, Procurement, and Logistics.
- Monitor project risks and implement mitigation plans.
- Ensure adherence to client SLAs and contractual obligations.
Financial Management
- Manage account profitability and revenue targets.
- Monitor budgets, margins, and cost controls.
- Track invoicing, collections, and payment follow-ups.
- Prepare account forecasts and financial reports.
Team Leadership
- Mentor and support Account Managers and Client Servicing teams.
- Establish performance goals and development plans.
- Promote collaboration across departments.
Key Deliverables / KPIs Revenue & Growth
- Achieve annual revenue targets.
- Deliver account growth as per agreed business plans.
- Increase share of wallet across existing accounts.
- Generate current business opportunities from current clients.
Client Satisfaction
- Maintain client retention rate above target.
- Achieve client satisfaction/NPS targets.
- Conduct quarterly business reviews with all key accounts.
Project Delivery
- 95%+ on-time project delivery.
- Ensure SLA compliance across all accounts.
- Maintain quality standards with minimal client escalations.
Financial Performance
- Meet or exceed gross margin targets.
- Ensure timely invoice submission and collections.
- Reduce outstanding receivables and overdue payments.
Team Performance
- Conduct regular performance reviews.
- Develop succession plans for key team members.
- Improve team productivity and engagement scores.
Reporting & Governance
- Monthly account performance reports.
- Quarterly business reviews and growth plans.
- Revenue forecasts and pipeline reports.
- Risk assessment and mitigation reports.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
- 8–15 years of experience in Account Management, Client Servicing, Business Development, or Agency Management.
- Proven track record of managing large enterprise accounts.
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and leadership capabilities.
