Haileybury is seeking a qualified and experienced Japanese Teacher to join our Senior School team at the Brighton campus.

This is a permanent, full-time position commencing November 2025.

Haileybury is currently seeking highly motivated and qualified applicants for the position of Japanese Teacher at Haileybury. This role presents a unique opportunity to join a dynamic educational community dedicated to fostering academic excellence.

Main Duties

Curriculum Delivery and Pedagogy: Deliver the curriculum using Haileybury's Explicit Instruction model, ensuring best pedagogical practices while staying current with modern teaching methods and relevant frameworks.
Collaboration and Relationships: Prioritise building positive relationships within the school community and collaborate with colleagues to develop blended learning resources and assessments.
Assessment and Professional Development: Use varied assessment tasks to accurately measure student achievement, integrate digital learning tools into their practice, and actively engage in ongoing professional development.

Demonstrate experience and passion for teaching Japanese to Senior School students
Implement evidenced based practice that actively engages students in the learning process.
Utilise technology as a tool to enhance teaching and learning experiences

Encourage collaboration amongst students and team members so we can create perseverance, critical thinking and creativity.
Demonstrate a passion for learning and inquiry-based thinking. Encourage students to ask questions, explore topics independently, and pursue their interests beyond the classroom.
Continuously develop your own expertise throughout the use of data, ongoing professional development and collaboration with colleagues.
