Industrial Sales Consultant (Hyderabad)
Job Description
Key Responsibilities: 1.
Sales
Strategy & Execution - Drive sales of Dodge products, systems, and services by meeting volume, mix, and profitability targets within assigned business units or product groups.
• Develop and implement market segmentation and penetration strategies to achieve sales targets.
• Identify new business opportunities and manage sales initiatives from prospecting to close.
• Customer & Channel Partner Engagement - Build and maintain strong customer relationships, acting as a trusted advisor to address specific needs and ensure a positive customer experience.
• Maintain effective relationships with channel partners to support sustainable business growth.
• Recommend viable product solutions and develop repeat business through value-added engagement.
• Marketing & Business Development - Support efficient marketing activities and communicate the value proposition of Dodge’s offerings.
• Launch new products/applications and support focused marketing efforts based on customer segments.
• Identify and develop new market opportunities through proposals, presentations, and solution-based selling. 4.
Sales
Planning & Offer Preparation - Prepare sales plans using company tools and conduct regular status reviews.
• Propose recovery plans in case of order shortfalls.
• Coordinate with the bid and proposal team and marketing to prepare offers that align with technical and financial requirements.
• Administration & Post-Sales Support - Manage administrative procedures in the sales process, including order processing and supporting collections.
• Monitor post-sales activities such as customer follow-ups, service reminders, warranty issues, and grievance handling.
• Evaluate customer feedback and implement improvements for superior customer service.
Key Challenges
• Develop a robust network of channel partners in the assigned region.
• Grow direct OEM and large end-user accounts.
• Promote Dodge’s brand to generate strong market demand.
• Identify and engage value-minded customers.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Production, Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering
• 5–8 years of experience in sales of mechanical power transmission products
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written) in English
• Self-motivated, result-oriented, and capable of managing complex accounts
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
• Hands-on experience with mounted bearings, enclosed gearing, couplings, pulleys, and other PT components
• Industry focus: Metals, Mining, Cement, Paper, Power, and Food & Beverage Technical & Software Skills:
• MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• AutoCAD
• SAP
