Role Description The In-Store Wireless Sales Associate is a full-time, on-site role based in Digby, NS. In this position, the associate engages customers on the sales floor, explains wireless products and plans, and provides personalized recommendations to meet individual needs. Day-to-day tasks include greeting customers, answering product and service questions, demonstrating device features, and processing sales and activations accurately through in-store systems. The role also involves maintaining merchandising standards, ensuring displays are clean and current, and staying up to date on promotions, pricing, and competitor offerings. The associate collaborates with store and OSL team members to achieve sales targets, deliver outstanding customer experiences, and support a positive, inclusive workplace.
Qualifications
• Candidates should possess strong customer service and interpersonal skills, including active listening and the ability to build rapport with diverse shoppers.
• Candidates should possess sales and retail skills, such as consultative selling, closing techniques, and experience working toward individual or team targets.
• Candidates should possess basic technology and wireless knowledge, including comfort with smartphones, mobile plans, and point-of-sale systems.
• Candidates should possess communication skills, including clear verbal communication, professional written communication, and the ability to explain complex information simply.
• Candidates should possess organization and time-management skills, including the ability to multitask, prioritize customer needs, and manage paperwork accurately.
• Previous experience in retail, wireless sales, or customer-facing roles is an asset.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and move around the sales floor, with reliable availability for days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or education in sales or business is considered an advantage.
