Head Teacher - Bethlehem College Kindergarten
The Opportunity
Are you ready to further your career in Early Childhood Education? Bethlehem Early Learning Centres is a well-established Bay of Plenty based Christian organisation. We hold a vision to provide excellent childcare in our community that is underpinned by the Christian gospel. We employ approximately 35 staff across our four centres.
We are seeking to employ a suitably experienced and qualified Head Teacher for one of our centres - Bethlehem College Kindergarten based in Bethlehem, Tauranga. Reporting to the Christian Education Trust (CET) General Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Centre.
About You
You will have an NZQA- approved Level 7 ECE teaching qualification and current registration/certification with experience in New Zealand ECE settings. You will be able to demonstrate a solid alignment with our organisations’s Mission, Vision and Values. You will ensure that the Centre is a friendly, safe and secure environment. Previous experience managing an ECE Centre will be highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
Managing the day-to-day operations of the centre and ensuring compliance with Ministry of Education requirements.
Leading and mentoring a team of passionate educators.
Collaborating with the CET General Manager to ensure the delivery of excellent Christian preschool education
Building strong positive relationships with tamariki, whanau and colleagues.
Taking responsibility for managing the centre’s finances so it is financially viable.
