Job Description:

As a Finance and Accounts Head in Amala Earth (e-commerce marketplace), your primary responsibility is to provide financial insights and analysis, strategic decision-making and hence help with business growth. You will be working closely with cross-functional teams including category, operations, marketing, and product development to analyze financial data, identify trends, and make recommendations for improving business performance.

Job Description:

As the Finance and Accounts Head for Amala Earth, you will play a crucial role in overseeing all financial activities and ensuring the financial health and integrity of our business operations. You will lead a team of finance professionals and work closely with other departments to drive strategic financial planning, budgeting, and analysis to support the company's growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
• Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and budgets to support strategic decision-making and business planning processes. Analyze financial performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights to drive business performance.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records and reports.
• Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow projections and manage cash flow to optimize liquidity and support operational needs. Implement cash management strategies to minimize financial risk and maximize returns on investments.
• Budget Management: Collaborate with department heads to develop annual operating budgets and track budget performance throughout the year. Identify variances and implement corrective actions to achieve budget targets.
• Tax Planning and Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations and optimize tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities. Coordinate with external tax advisors and authorities to manage tax audits and inquiries.
• Risk Management: Identify financial risks and implement controls to mitigate risks related to credit, liquidity, currency, and market fluctuations. Develop and maintain internal controls and procedures to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Financial Systems and Processes: Evaluate and improve financial systems, processes, and procedures to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and reliability of financial reporting and analysis. Implement automation and digital solutions to streamline financial operations.
• Team Leadership and Development: Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the finance and accounting team. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning to drive professional growth and CA qualification mandatory.
• Proven experience in finance and accounting roles, with at least [insert number] years of experience in e-commerce or retail industry.
