We are seeking a skilled and compassionate General Practice Nurse to join our General Practice teams across Wyndham Vale and Deer Park. This role offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to a diverse community while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment.
About the role
In this role, you will:
Support safe and effective clinical practice within a general practice setting
Provide specialist nursing care to clients with a range of health needs
Undertake clinical assessments including triage, wound care and health monitoring
Deliver immunisation services in line with national guidelines
Complete care plans and health assessments, incorporating risk management and health promotion
Work closely with GPs and other providers to support optimal patient outcomes
Maintain strong infection prevention and control practices
Contribute to quality improvement and clinical governance activities
Support and supervise nursing students as required
To succeed in this role, you will have:
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1)
Minimum 3 years post graduate clinical nursing experience
Demonstrated experience in:
Wound care, immunisation, triage and clinical assessment
Venepuncture and clinical procedures (IV cannulation desirable)
Health assessments and care planning
Qualified Nurse Immuniser (or working towards)
Knowledge of RACGP standards, infection control and national immunisation guidelines
Strong communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Experience working with diverse communities
Current Victorian Working with Children Check
Experience in adolescent health is desirable.
