We're growing and looking for a Fireplace Service Technician who is either highly experienced or eager to grow their technical career in a specialized and rewarding field.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Fireplace Technician, you’ll work independently and inside customers' homes to diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of fireplace systems—gas (IPI standing pilot), electric, wood, and more. Your typical day might include:
Diagnosing faults using electrical test equipment (voltage, resistance, continuity, etc.)
Referencing schematics and manuals to troubleshoot and repair systems
Replacing faulty components and verifying correct function
Performing first fires after installations
Communicating directly with clients about work performed and safety concerns
Creating accurate estimates and service documentation using mobile field software
Learning new systems and appliance type
What We’re Looking For
You could be a seasoned technician—or a mechanically inclined individual with the right mindset. We’re looking for:
Must-Haves:
Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
Client-first attitude with strong communication skills
Dependability and ability to work independently
Strong organization and documentation habits
Respectful appearance and behavior in client homes
Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in varied environments
Bonus Skills (or Willing to Learn):
Knowledge of combustion principles, gas supply, and venting
Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and appliance manuals
Comfort with diagnostic processes and modern control systems
Experience with field service software (mobile/tablet-based)
