Finance Manager – FP&A, Costing & Procurement
Job Description
To lead the organization’s financial strategy, governance, and performance monitoring with a strong focus on cash flow, profitability, and compliance, while ensuring efficient, cost-effective procurement aligned with project and business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
A. Financial Management & Control
1. Financial Planning & Cash Flow Management
• Drive weekly, monthly, and quarterly cash flow planning and forecasting
• Ensure optimal fund utilization and maintain adequate liquidity
• Monitor receivables inflow and strategically plan vendor payments
• Implement controls to manage and optimize working capital
2. Financial Reporting & MIS
• Lead preparation of monthly MIS reports covering:
• Revenue & margins
• Cost analysis
• Project profitability
• Provide actionable insights to leadership for decision-making
• Develop dashboards and automate reporting processes
3. Receivables & Working Capital Management
• Monitor receivables ageing and drive collections
• Improve cash conversion cycle and reduce working capital gaps
• Collaborate with project and sales teams to improve billing efficiency
4. Project Profitability & Cost Control
• Track project-wise financial performance (Revenue vs Cost)
• Monitor key cost drivers:
• Materials
• Labour
• Logistics
• Site expenses
• Identify cost leakages and implement corrective actions
• Strengthen financial controls to improve project margins
5. Compliance & Financial Governance
• Ensure compliance with GST, statutory, and regulatory requirements
• Coordinate with auditors and regulatory authorities
• Handle audits, notices, and assessments proactively
• Strengthen internal controls and financial discipline
6. Inventory & Cost Reconciliation
• Ensure reconciliation between procurement, stores, and site consumption
• Monitor and optimize inventory levels
• Identify and reduce wastage, pilferage, and inefficiencies
B. Procurement & Commercial Management
7. Procurement Planning & Execution
• Align procurement plans with project timelines and budgets
• Ensure timely material availability without overstocking
• Improve procurement efficiency and turnaround time
8. Vendor Management & Negotiation
• Evaluate and onboard vendors
• Negotiate pricing, credit terms, and contracts
• Ensure cost competitiveness and quality compliance
9. Purchase Control & Cost Optimization
• Ensure all purchases are within approved budgets
• Track procurement costs vs estimates
• Drive cost-saving initiatives and standardization
10. Logistics Cost Monitoring
• Monitor and optimize freight and transportation costs
• Allocate logistics costs accurately to projects
• Improve supply chain cost efficiency
Required Skills & Experience
• 6–10 years of experience in Finance / Commercial roles
• Strong expertise in:
• Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
• Cash Flow Management
• Project Costing & Profitability
• Working knowledge of procurement and vendor management
• Preferred Industry: Construction / EPC / Manufacturing / Contracting
Education
• CA (Inter) / CMA / MBA (Finance) / M.Com
• Strong proficiency in Excel, MIS, and financial systems
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
