Want your chance to make a mark on a world-class, record-breaking event? We are hiring for a Event Operations Lead to join our team to deliver the Australian Open 2026. This is a full-time fixed-term contract from September 2025 to February 2026.

About the role
The Event Operations Lead, Patron Operations plays a key role in delivering a world-class experience at the Australian Open, managing the Customer Experience (CX) team, one of the largest event workforces at the AO.
In this role you will:
Lead the planning and delivery of Patron Operations, aligning services with accessibility and crowd management plans
Manage the Customer Experience (CX) team, including recruitment, onboarding, training and event-time leadership
Coordinate operational comms, staffing, and act as an escalation point during the tournament
Design and deliver CX team training and leadership development programs
Track performance, monitor KPIs and budgets, and contribute to post-event reporting
About you
To be successful in this role you will:
Experience managing large customer-facing teams in fast-paced environments
Strong project skills, including budgeting, reporting and use of MS Office tools
Confident written and verbal communication, with the ability to motivate teams
A calm, solution-focused approach under pressure
A collaborative and professional style, with initiative and pride in delivery
Preparedness to be flexible in regard to working hours and arrangements relating to work associated with Tennis Australia
