Full job description
We are a well-established catering and restaurant business in Auckland, known for
delivering exceptional food and personalized service for private and corporate events. We
specialise in hosting and managing a range of events, including weddings, conferences,
trade shows, and corporate functions.
We are now looking for an enthusiastic Event Manager to join our team and lead the
planning and delivery of our events to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities:
 Promote company-hosted conferences, conventions, and trade shows to potential corporate and private clients to generate business opportunities
 Respond to client enquiries regarding available services, including venue hire,
equipment rental, catering packages, and other related offerings
 Meet with clients to assess their event objectives and propose customised service
packages that align with their requirements and budget
 Coordinate all aspects of event logistics, including venue setup, catering
arrangements, signage, visual displays, audiovisual equipment, accommodation
bookings, transport logistics, and scheduled social functions
 Manage the end-to-end participant registration process, including the setup of
registration systems and on-site coordination
 Negotiate with clients and third-party service providers to confirm service scope and
pricing, ensuring all arrangements are delivered within the agreed budget
 Supervise the work of external contractors and suppliers, and report any variations or
issues affecting the delivery of contracted services

Requirements:
 Strong customer service and communication skills
 Ability to manage multiple events and deadlines with strong attention to detail
 Sound knowledge of budgeting and vendor management
 Proficiency in using event management tools and office software
 Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules
 Minimum Level 5 qualification OR two years of relevant work experience

The successful candidate must have a clean driving criminal record.
The applicants must be New Zealand citizens or residents or have valid work rights.
