About The Role

We are seeking a dynamic Event Manager to coordinate and manage a variety of internal and external events, including corporate and private functions. This role sits within our high performing Conferences, Meetings Events team, and as a main point of contact for event key stakeholders and service providers, the role demands a creative and flexible approach, with strong communication and relationship management skills.

Your Skills And Experience (Key Criteria)

Relevant professional or tertiary qualification in Tourism and Hospitality Management or equivalent experience preferred
A firm understanding of the sales and events process and event operations/challenges desirable
A creative and flexible approach with strong interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to foster and maintain ongoing professional and stakeholder relationships
Active leader who contributes to a positive and harmonious working environment
Strong planning, organisational and administration skills
Resilient to change; adapts to organisational focus competing priorities and demands
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills

This team is responsible for the sales and planning of events for internal departments, resident companies and corporate clients of Arts Centre Melbourne function venues. The team comprises sales and event management to ensure a central touch point for all clients across the business.
