At Make Believe, we believe the magic of performance has the power to educate, inspire, and bring communities together. Our events – ranging from day camps and workshops to full-scale productions – are the heart of our mission. We’re seeking an organised, creative, and proactive Event Delivery Officer to help bring these experiences to life. If you’re driven by logistics, love seeing smiles light up faces, and thrive in a collaborative environment, this role is for you.
As our Event Delivery Officer (3 days per week), you’ll:
Project-manage and deliver Make Believe events, productions, and initiatives – across local and national programmes
Coordinate with internal teams (Product, Operations, Marketing) and partners to ensure seamless event delivery
Draft and maintain event timelines, critical paths, and checklists
Book venues, suppliers, staff, and manage all logistical arrangements
Recruit staff for events, including chaperones and technical specialists where required
Monitor and report on event budgets, ensuring costs stay within limits without compromising quality
Support marketing activities pre- and post-event to maximise community engagement
Manage vendor relationships, ensuring smooth communication and delivery
Oversee on-site logistics: registration, setup, technical support, and breakdown
Collect participant and client feedback to continuously improve future events
Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and safeguarding standards
Suggest innovative ideas to enhance event formats, experiences, and professional delivery
Report event progress, metrics, and insights to head office and stakeholders
Train partners in the delivery of initiatives, ensuring consistency and quality of Make Believe experiences
What We’re Looking For – You’ll excel in this role if you have:
Proven experience in event coordination, production management, or logistics
Strong planning and organisational skills – able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent communication and relationship management abilities
A creative, solution-focused mindset with a keen eye for detail
Budget awareness and the ability to deliver cost-effective event solutions
Familiarity with on-site event coordination and troubleshooting
A collaborative, flexible attitude and passion for the arts and youth development
Why Make Believe?
At Make Believe, every event is an opportunity to inspire and educate through creativity. You’ll work within a supportive, passionate team, reporting directly to our leadership and contributing to national growth.
