Job Description
Are you a reliable and detail-oriented individual looking for a vital role in a dynamic operations team? JPM Logistics, in partnership with The Modern Milkman, provides a crucial multi-drop delivery service, bringing fresh milk and groceries to households across Yorkshire, six nights a week. We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Operative to join our team at our Tockwith hub and contribute to our commitment to efficiency and excellent service.
This role is central to our nightly operations, ensuring that all goods are accurately prepared and ready for our delivery drivers. You will be a key part of ensuring smooth workflow and high standards within the hub.
Key Responsibilities (Your Contribution):
Order Preparation: Accurately sort and pick orders for delivery drivers, ensuring all items are correctly staged for dispatch.
Goods In Management: Efficiently receive and thoroughly check deliveries from suppliers, carefully placing stock into designated holding areas and ensuring proper stock rotation.
Operational Standards: Maintain a clean and safe working environment by adhering to our 'clean-as-you-go' policy and cleaning schedule. This includes performing daily date checks on stock to ensure food safety compliance.
Stock Control: Conduct daily stock checks and counts, investigating and reporting any discrepancies to maintain accurate inventory.
Team Collaboration: You will work directly alongside the Hub Manager and Driver Manager, contributing to daily operations and providing feedback to ensure excellent hub results.
Equipment Use: Safely utilise on-site equipment such as pallet trucks and milk sack trucks to efficiently move stock around the warehouse.

Reliability: A strong commitment to punctuality and consistent attendance for your scheduled shifts.
Attention to Detail: Excellent numeracy skills and a keen eye for accuracy in all tasks, particularly order fulfilment and stock management.
Teamwork & Initiative: The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Physical Capability: Capable of performing physical tasks including lifting and carrying items within a warehouse environment.
Safety Conscious: A proactive approach to Health & Safety, strictly adhering to all company policies and guidelines.
Adaptability: Comfortable in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, able to adjust to changing priorities.
Basic Computer Skills: Familiarity with inventory tracking, Microsoft Excel is beneficial, and while Google Sheets experience is a plus, full training will be provided.
Local Commuter: A valid driving licence and your own vehicle are essential due to the night shift hours and limited public transport options to our Tockwith location.
