Statement of Commitment to Child Safety Wellbeing
At ACC Hume Ltd, we welcome all children, young people, and their families. We are committed to creating environments where students feel safe, respected, and heard. We have no tolerance for child abuse and take proactive steps to identify and manage risks to our students. We promote positive relationships between students, adults, and peers, based on trust and respect.
We acknowledge the unique needs of Aboriginal students, culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, international students, students with disabilities, those unable to live at home, LGBTIQ+ students, and all students experiencing risk or vulnerability. Inappropriate behaviour targeting these groups will not be tolerated, and any instances will be addressed with appropriate consequences. Child safety is a shared responsibility among all individuals involved in our school, including students, families, staff, and volunteers. We regularly review our child-safe practices and seek input from stakeholders to inform our strategies.
