Are you a passionate Swimming Teacher who would like to help us expand our school swimming programme and deliver a quality swimming lesson service to schools from across South Ribble?
Are you interested in working during school term time?
If you are passionate about swimming and have experience teaching children, particularly in a school setting and providing structured sessions in a comfortable and supportive environment, then we will be delighted to hear from you.
Ideally, you will possess a minimum Level 2 swimming teacher qualification, awarded by Swim England or the Swimming Teachers Association and a National Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ). Candidates with a National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers Coaches (NRASTC) will also be considered. For the right candidate, we will support you to attain the necessary qualifications required for the role.
In the Education Swimming Teacher role, we will offer ongoing training and development opportunities, including support to ensure your personal competency is maintained for your NPLQ qualification via monthly training.
What you’ll be getting up to
You will assist in building water confidence, developing strokes/ water skills for the participants in the programme
You will be delivering and providing continual assessments for all participants in line with the KS2 national curriculum requirements.
You will deliver a quality service towards the Key Stage 2 (KS2) Educational Swimming Programme and/or our Learn to Swim programme.
Who we’re looking for
You are confident in leading the Key Stage 2 (KS2) Educational Swimming Programme.
You’ll be passionate about helping school children to learn to swim or become proficient whilst swimming and teaching all aspects of water safety.
You will work school teachers and with pupils in groups to motivate and instruct them during their lessons.
You will thrive on supporting pupils to achieve their potential, drawing on your continual knowledge and experience of industry best practice whilst applying teaching skills in the most effective way.
