About the role
Join our dynamic Organisational Development team, a key part of our People Culture Performance division. This exciting role is pivotal in shaping and driving Council's diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) strategy, as well as our early careers strategy and action plans. You'll leverage your expertise in relationship building, stakeholder management, and strategic influence to research, design, and implement impactful DEI and early careers initiatives.
Key responsibilities:
Using best practice research and organisational data, design, develop and implement Council’s diversity and inclusion strategy and operational plans including Council’s First Nations Strategy and Disability Inclusion Action Plans, First Nations and Early Career Employment Strategies and other related plans and initiatives.
Design and execute the diversity and inclusion strategy by developing programs of work and required initiatives. This will include research, using organisational data and insights, business case generation, executive and councillor briefings, and effective collaboration and key stakeholder management.
Ensure their successful implementation of initiatives across various diversity dimensions including gender, youth, First Nations, and disability and inclusion. This includes keeping up to date with current and pertinent legislation, best practice, innovations and ensuring a continual improvement mindset.
Through the provision of strategic guidance, act as a trusted advisor and expert consultant to PCP colleagues and the broader organisation regarding diversity and inclusion.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
3 + years’ experience in a senior Diversity and Inclusion role or extensive relevant skills and experience in successfully delivering a range of DEI and early careers outcomes in a medium sized business.
Experience designing, project managing and executing Organisational Development programs.
Experience in working on submission of awards, accreditations or grant applications relating to DEI or early careers.
Tertiary Qualifications and/or equivalent experience in Human Resources or similar.
Demonstrated skill in building and maintaining positive working relationships across all levels of the organisation.
A high level of influencing, negotiation, consultation and communication (verbal and written) skills.
Demonstrated ability to integrate concepts into practice and influence organisational direction.
Demonstrated ability to develop strategies and deliver programs of work.
What’s on offer
We are offering an attractive remuneration from $125,++6.6+ to $138,6++.50 plus 11.5% superannuation.
