Direct Tax Compliance Team Member

Team Member - Direct Tax (Compliance) Responsibilities 1. Compliance Support Assist in the preparation and filing of all direct tax returns for business units. Support the reconciliation of tax provisions and payments. Address basic queries from tax authorities and ensure accurate documentation. 2. Documentation and Reporting Compile and maintain compliance documentation for audits and reviews. Assist in preparing summaries and reports for internal and external stakeholders. Maintain accurate records of compliance filings and tax-related communications. 3. Litigation Assistance Provide support in preparing responses to notices and legal inquiries. Assist in compiling documentation for hearings and disputes. Maintain detailed records of litigation cases and their resolutions. 4. Process Improvement Identify gaps in compliance processes and recommend solutions to senior team members. Assist in the implementation of process changes for tax compliance. Monitor progress of compliance initiatives and report updates. 5. Knowledge Development Stay updated on changes in direct tax laws and compliance standards. Attend training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve compliance challenges effectively. Key Stakeholders - Internal: BU Finance Team CEO Internal Audit Team Key Stakeholders - External: External Audit Agencies Government Tax Authorities Tax Consultants Qualifications Education Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Finance Chartered Accountant Work Experience (Range of years): 2-7 years in Big Four Firms or Large Corporate Tax Department
