Full job description
The post holder will work closely with the Maternity Governance Midwife to develop and facilitate implementation of the Maternity Risk Management Strategy and provide specialist risk management advice to staff within the maternity directorate.

They will be responsible for monitoring and investigating local incidents . They will be proactive in their approach to risk prevention and will help to encourage an open and transparent reporting culture that enables the organisation to learn lessons and prevent incidents from reoccurring. It is expected the post holder will also work clinically on a regular basis to maintain clinical credibility.

To deputise for the Maternity G overnance Midwife in their absence or as appropriate .

The role is on a Permanent basis for 7.5 hours per week, ideally to be worked on a Monday, Wednesday or Friday.
